COME JOIN US for the 13th Annual Alverno Conditioning Camp for Soccer and Cross Country
Once again it is time to start preparing for our conditioning camp. This year’s camp will be held from Sunday, August 3 to Sunday, August 10, 2014at the beautiful Sycamore Canyon campgrounds. Sycamore Canyon is just north of Malibu and has great running trails as well as Sycamore Cove Beach that is a short walk from camp. The camp grounds are operated by the State Parks Department which includes a Ranger’s station at the camp site. There are hot showers and regular bathrooms close to the camp site. We will have a large camping area under the trees. Camping will be dormitory style, with large tents that will include air mattresses for your comfort. The food tent will have drinks, snacks and a wide assortment of food to eat throughout the day. Dinners will be prepared by Coach Berry and volunteers. We stay warm around the camp fire at night and of course there are s’mores! This camp accommodates all levels of athletes, both JV and Varsity. The camp is open to only Alverno students including incoming freshmen.
The camp runs for 7 days and nights and will cost $295.00. If you would like PE credit, the fee is $425.00. The fee is paid on the Alverno Summer Institute website and must be paid no later than Wed. July 16. This is an Alverno sanctioned student only camp that will have a female chaperone. My wife and I have found that this camp is a great opportunity for all Alverno students including incoming freshmen to bond with other Alverno students. New Student Registration Fee*: $685
Average Cost of Textbooks: $500-700/per year

Alverno provides finacial aid, merit based scholarship, and financial need scholarships to families who are eligible. Currently, 52 percent of the student body receives financial support to attend Alverno.
Applying for Financial Aid and Need-Based Scholarships:
Alverno uses FAST (FINANCIAL AID FOR SCHOOL TUITION) to determine a family's eligibility for need-based aid. Please send your financial application, 2013 tax return when available, and 2013 W2 with the required fee to FAST no later than Saturday, February 8, 2014. If you are applying for a need-based scholarship, your daughter must complete the scholarship application below. Scholarship forms for current families are due on Friday, February 7 and for incoming families on Friday, January 24. Both current and incoming students must apply to FAST by Saturday, February 8. If all of the materials of the financial aid application are not received by Saturday, February 8 2014, Alverno will be unable to consider your family for financial assistance.
